Unbeknownst to most people, moving truck companies don't only charge per mileage, they also charge per total weight. The company might give you a flat rate their office, but they might present you with a hefty bill at your destination, claiming that your goods were heavier than they estimated. You might not have enough money to pay up, and the company might decide to confiscate your goods.
